Picasa from Google is one cool piece of software to view and manage photos with ease. Till now, it was available for Windows based computer - Picasa for Mac is now out with beta tag. Being an initial release number of features are missing including: webcam capture, geotagging, online print ordering and export to HTML.

1. I too am a fan of Google's Picasa. There new Google Photos is a pale comparison to the ease of Picasa. I have switched though to ACDSee for the mac. I used to use it years ago. It's faster than Google Picasa and it's database structure is similar. Also the latest macOS Catalina removed Google's Picasa and other 32-bit apps.
2. On January 5, 2009, Google released a beta version of Picasa for Mac (Intel-based Macs only). Also, a plugin is available for iPhoto to upload to the Picasa Web Albums hosting service. There is also a standalone Picasa Web Albums uploading tools for OS X 10.4 or later. The Picasa for Mac is a Google Labs release.

Also, the Photo Viewer software that accompanies Picasa 3 on Windows is not included on the Mac. Expect to see these features in future releases. Download Picasa for Mac (requires an Intel-based Mac and Mac OS X 10.4+). Here is video explaining it all:
